This is the first solo exhibition by Helsinki-based Japanese artist, Nene Tsuboi. Tsuboi has worked in the field of graphic design, but in recent years the scope of her activities has shifted into creating artworks, objects, spaces and products. In her work, ordinary things - like people, animals and plants - are transformed when shown from Tsuboi's dynamic and often humorous point of view, offering us a surprising perspectives. Ten years ago, having moved to Finland, she started keeping a visual diary, filling during a decade more than 30 sketchbooks documenting her life and thoughts. From these drawings, Tsuboi has compiled an exclusive limited edition book "Perspective". This exhibition shows the full spectrum of Tsuboi's artistic activity during the last 10 years, from original sketchbooks to recent works like the short film "Torni". These works are on display for the first time in Japan.
